My choosing of The One Ring was by some measures a chance meeting. I had, as I do every so often, fallen back in love with Tolkien, and once again had the urge to run a roleplaying game in Middle-earth something I'd never actually done before , and was at the time looking for copies of MERP.
I pursued that line of thinking for a while, reliving the ups and downs of I. And I could see myself having gone with MERP , were it not for The One Ring , but it would have been a considerably more challenging game to run at the very least, and probably a less fun one to be quite frank.

Much of it is full color, there is plenty who am I kidding though, there could always be more , and each piece is super evocative of Middle Earth.
So much effort here to be faithful to the source material and create rules and mechanics that evoke Middle Earth. The adventuring and fellowship phases of the game take place over seasons of the year so the more cinematic and action-packed portions of the game can take place while also allowing for social interactions and time for travel.
Quite a lot going on here for a GM. The GM sections are useful. Additionally, there is a campaign section detailing all the major event taking place in Middle-earth both before and during the game timeline.
This is not a bad score by any means. I own and preorder every book in the series as they are released.
